The Vintage Apron
We are currently not operating due to being evicted from our premises for not enforcing vaccination proof requests on to our patrons.
We took a stance to not discriminate against anyone. To allow ALL in to our location despite the Queensland Government stating that unvaccinated people were not allowed to dine in at cafe's and restaurants. We believe that your medical procedures are private and we respect privacy laws that are currently enforceable on a federal level.
As of 16th January, 2022 Pierre was brutally arrested in front of patrons, causing injury not only to property, but physical harm to Pierre himself. He spent some time in a cell and will have to face court for a date yet to be set some time in March.
Within hours of arrest, The Vintage Apron was evicted from the premises by Capalaba Central Shopping Centre Management for not enforcing QR code checkin or asking for vaccination status of customers.
We now face a battle to end the mandates for basic human rights and we are ready to fight, with the help of ONE Redlands Community. Our first step is clearing out our old premises, sourcing storage for the shop equipment, legal costs and paying our staff. We would appreciate any help you can offer to donate to this cause! Any money leftover will be donated back into the community to support the wonderful community we live in.

In late 2015, Pierre and Debora Coorey opened The Vintage Apron, a fresh dining destination in Capalaba. Central to the cafe was the importance of fresh, quality food – a real step away from the chain cafes that dominate the Australian cafe scene. Within months, the consistent quality of the food, eclectic country decor and superior quality coffee attracted a dedicated following.
